Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the certification services provided under the IRESS 2026 International Residential EMF Safety Standard.
By applying for Online Assessment or On-Site EMF Survey, the property owner or authorised representative agrees to the terms set out below.

1. Scope of Certification

IRESS 2026 certification applies solely to the specific residential property, unit, and configuration assessed at the time of evaluation.

Certification reflects the EMF conditions determined through either Online Assessment or On-Site Survey in accordance with IRESS 2026 protocols.

  • Certification does not guarantee future conditions

  • Results apply only to the rooms, layout, and conditions evaluated

  • Certification does not replace compliance with local laws or regulations

2. Assessment Limitations

EMF conditions may change over time due to internal usage patterns, external infrastructure, or environmental factors.

Both Online and On-Site assessments represent structured snapshots of EMF conditions based on defined data, modelling, or measurements.

  • Short-term peaks and intermittent sources may occur outside evaluation windows

  • External sources are not controlled by the certification body

  • Natural variability is inherent to electromagnetic environments

3. No Medical or Health Claims

IRESS 2026 certification is a technical and environmental classification based on EMF exposure assessment.
It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or a guarantee of health outcomes.

  • No medical or therapeutic claims are made

  • Individual sensitivity may vary

  • Certification does not imply universal suitability

4. Responsibilities of the Property Owner

The property owner or authorised representative is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information during Online or On-Site intake

  • Ensuring access to relevant areas for On-Site surveys when required

  • Disclosing any changes that may affect EMF conditions

  • Using certification marks and statements only as permitted by IRESS 2026

5. Use of Certification Status

Certification status, category names, and related materials may be used only as authorised by IRESS 2026.

  • Certification applies only to the assessed property

  • Category names must not be modified or misrepresented

  • Expired or revoked certificates must not be displayed

6. Corrective Actions and Reassessment

If a property is classified as Non-Compliant or if material changes occur after certification, corrective actions and reassessment may be required.

  • Mitigation recommendations do not guarantee certification

  • Reassessment conditions may differ between Online and On-Site pathways

  • Certification may be suspended if changes are not disclosed

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IRESS 2026, IRESC, and their assessors are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Changes in EMF exposure after the assessment

  • Decisions made by occupants, buyers, or third parties based on certification status

8. Updates to Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be updated to reflect changes in methodology, standards, or operational requirements.

The version in effect at the time of certification or reassessment applies.
Continued use of IRESS 2026 certification services constitutes acceptance of the current Terms & Conditions.
